Let me just start off by saying, I had no intention of attending Wireless festival this year. It was a really spontaneous, last minute thing; last minute as in we bought tickets online the day before from a third-party seller, and weren’t even sure whether they were real or not.
Luckily they were real and we made it in. I literally started hyperventilating when I could hear Majid Jordan’s set starting whilst we were still going through security.
THEY. WERE. AMAZING!!
It was my second time seeing them and they were just as great as the first, they were definitely the highlight of the day (I’m a tad bias), paired with Stormzy and Migos.
The energy was a little off, almost as though the crowd were scared to move. I mean I partially don’t blame them, someones wig actually went flying at one point.
Overall, Wireless was a fun day out. The food was just outstanding, we had a jerk chicken rice box from a Caribbean stand which I cannot for the life of me remember the name of. However, It isn’t high on the top of my list to attend again. I feel like there are other festivals (WooHah & Parklife) that offer much more such as rides, karaoke and other fun activities to break up the day.

This weeks Tunes on a Tuesday post goes to Brooklyn Love by Lolo Zouaï.
The 22 year old French-American rose to popularity through soundcloud and has since then quit her waitressing job, to get to grips with her new found fame.
Lolo’s music is influenced by none other than the late Aaliyah Haughton. In her song ‘blue’ she even goes so far as to mention having the late singer’s poster on her wall.
I’m really fascinated with the light, airy, yet slightly electronic feel ‘Brooklyn Love’ gives off.
Lolo is yet to prove her longevity but I’m excited to see what’s yet to come
welcome back to Tunes on a Tuesday!
We are on the 4th week now and I’ve decided to continue with the chilled vibes theme that I’ve got going on.
Today’s pick is Heart by Omar Apollo.
He is a extraordinary self taught (via YouTube) talented guy, who regularly and might I say seamlessly, switches between english and Spanish.
Omar is definitely an artist to keep your eye on. Check him out below 🙂
Back at it again with another Tunes on a Tuesday!
My pick for today is North Face by ODIE, yet another artist i’ve accidentally come across.
Not 100% sure what it is but this song makes me feel like i’m drowning, sounds weird I know but its a nice feeling.
He has also recently released a 7 track EP called ANALOGUE, every track is just simply beautiful and you can pick up on the subtle yet distinctive Kid Cudi influences. So if you like Cudi then you’ll most definitely like ODIE’s sound.
ODIE has definitely made it to my chilled summer playlist 🙂 Check out the song below
Welcome to the 2nd segment of Tunes on a Tuesday.
This weeks tune is Stolen moments by Cautious Clay. I accidentally stumbled across his album which was released earlier this year and I am so thankful I did.
I think I’m going through an obsession of with the sound of acoustics guitars. Just like last weeks tune of the week (session 32), we’re back at it again with the stripped back vocals and the beautiful stringed instrument.
Check it out below
